This notice covers the kdemic.com website only. It is short because the site does very little: it describes a project and lets you send an enquiry. Nothing else is collected.
Who is responsible
Kdemic is a pre-incorporation project. The data controller is Dr Mina T. Kelleni, Minia, Egypt. Contact: privacy@kdemic.com. If Kdemic is later incorporated, this notice will be updated with the company details and a new version number.
What we collect, and why
| Data | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Name and email address | To reply to your enquiry and, if you asked to join the early-access list, to contact you when access opens | Consent |
| Role, organisation, ORCID iD (optional) | To understand who is interested and to reply appropriately | Consent |
| Your message | To answer it | Consent |
| Standard server logs held by our host, including IP address | Security and delivery of the site | Legitimate interests in operating a secure website |
Every field except your message is one you chose to type. We do not buy contact data, we do not enrich what you give us from other sources, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. If analytics are added later, this notice will be updated first and a banner will appear before any non-essential cookie is set.
Who else sees it
- Our hosting provider hosts the site and processes form submissions on our behalf, and holds standard server logs.
- Our email provider delivers and stores the resulting message.
That is the complete list. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not pass enquiries to third parties. Nothing you enter in this form is sent to an AI model.
Where it is held
Our hosting and email providers operate infrastructure outside Egypt, including in the United States and the European Union, so your data may be transferred internationally. Where a transfer involves personal data of people in the EU or UK, it relies on the safeguards those providers maintain for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Early-access list: until you ask to be removed, or until 24 months after we stop maintaining the list, whichever comes first.
- Server logs: retained by our host under their standard retention period, typically 30 days.
Your rights
Subject to the law applicable to you, you may ask us to give you a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to our use of it, or provide it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, which does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
One email to privacy@kdemic.com is enough. We will respond within 30 days. Given how little we hold, deletion is usually immediate.
If you are in the EU, the UK or another jurisdiction with a data protection authority, you also have the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. We keep the amount of personal data we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective protection available to a project at this stage.
Children
Kdemic is intended for researchers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, write to us and it will be deleted.
Changes
Material changes will be published here with a new version number and date rather than substituted silently. If a change materially affects people already on the early-access list, we will email them.
